How the Lid Works

The Button

Removing the button is very easy. In the unlocked position (button raised) hold the lid with one hand. With the other hand, pinch all sides of the button and pull.

When reattaching the button, note there are different size clips. Align the large and small clips with their respective openings. Push the button back in place and press a couple of times until smooth.

The Silicone Disc

This piece is very important. The silicone disc provides the air-tight seal when locked. The center of this piece is made of plastic that holds a silicone ring in place. When the button is locked, the silicone ring is pulled up to create a tight pressurized seal. If the silicone ring is wet or has any powder on it, the container will not seal completely and may slide open.

To unlock the silicone disc, grip the button-side of the lid with one hand. With the other hand, pinch all sides of the silicone disc. Turn counter clockwise (to the left) to unlock.

When reattaching the silicone disc, simply position the silicone disc in place and turn clockwise (to the right) until it locks.
