Preparing and Feeding Holle Porridge Cereals

After 4 Months

 

Using First Infant Milk Formula (Stage PRE / 1):

  1. Prepare 170 ml of your infant milk formula (accord to its' instructions).
  2. Pour the prepared formula into a bowl and stir in 18 g of porridge (3 to 4 tablespoons).
  3. Sit and allow to cool to 37 C / 98.6 F. This is important for absorption.

 

Using Regular Cow Milk:

  1. Boil 100 ml of whole milk and 100 ml of water. Cool to 50 C / 122 F.
  2. Pour the liquid into a bowl and stir in 25 g of porridge (5 tablespoons).
  3. Sit and allow to cool to 37 C / 98.6 F. This is important for absorption.

 

Using Breast Milk:

Stir 25 g of porridge (5 tablespoons) into 130 ml of warm breast milk. Never heat breast milk over 40 C / 104 F. 

 

Dairy-Free Porridge with Fruits or Vegetables:

  1. Mix 20 g of porridge (4 tablespoons) with 100 g of fruit-based baby food from a jar or 100 g of freshly prepared fruit puree.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of edible oil. 
  3. Boil water. Cool to 50 C / 122 F.
  4. Add 90 ml of water.

Alternatively you may use 160 g of warm vegetable-based baby food from a jar and 2 teaspoons of oil.

You may add up to 30g of meat puree.

 

After 6 Months

 

Using Follow-on Infant Milk Formula:

  1. Boil 150 ml water and allow to cool to approximately 50 C / 122 F.
  2. Add 5 scoops of Holle Stage 2.
  3. Pour the liquid into a bowl and stir in 18 g of porridge (3 to 4 tablespoons).

Repeat the same steps above from 10 months using Holle Stage 3.
