There are a few different formula options to choose if your baby has a protein allergy. Holle Goat, NannyCare (Goat), and HiPP HA (Hypoallergenic) formulas are all suitable for babies with a cow milk protein allergy.
Both Holle Goat and NannyCare contain less lactose than cow's milk formulas so they can sometimes work for babies that are lactose intolerant as well. Click here to read about the benefits of goat milk for babies with a protein allergy. We always recommend trying goat milk first before trying hypoallergenic formulas.
HiPP HA formula contains hydrolyzed proteins. Hydrolyzed proteins are cow's milk proteins that have been extensively broken down to prevent allergic reactions. HA contains lactose as a natural sweetener to the formula. HA can be suitable for babies with a soy allergy as well since the formula does not contain any soy.
*The HiPP HA is a hypoallergenic formula, not for babies with dairy sensitivities or lactose intolerance.*
We greatly advise you speak to your baby's pediatrician first to check which of these formulas is the right one for your baby.
